Simón Cantarero

J. Simón Cantarero is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Priority Dispatch Corp., a multinational company providing call-taking software, protocols, and solutions to emergency communication centers in 59 countries around the world. He leads the corporate legal team, working with attorneys around the world on various legal matters and providing legal support for many areas of the business.


Mr. Cantarero began his legal career as an attorney at a large law firm, where he practiced for nearly 10 years. He has also served as corporate counsel for both publicly traded companies and privately owned startups. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Juris Doctor from BYU Law. He was nominated by Utah Govenor Spencer J. Cox and confirmed by the Utah Senate as an alternate member of the Utah Political Subdivisions Ethics Commission. Mr. Cantarero was appointed by the Utah Supreme Court to its Committee on the Rules of Professional Conduct, serving as Chair, and was previously appointed by Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Fourth Judicial District, where he interviewed and referred judicial applicants to the Governor to fill judgeships. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of “and Justice for All” and the Springville Museum of Art. Mr. Cantarero is past President of the Utah Minority Bar Association and past Chair of the Board of Directors of “Utah Humanities,” a non-profit organization primarily funded by the US Congress and the Utah Legislature to offer public humanities programs statewide. He is an adjunct professor of law at BYU Law, teaching Professional Responsibilities and Ethics.
