Mark Clawson

Following law school at Duke University, Mark practiced corporate and securities law for five years in Palo Alto, California, with the Silicon Valley law firm Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati. During this time, Mark completed masters and doctorate degrees at Stanford Law School (his dissertation was titled “The Development of Business Combinations Doctrine in American Corporate Law”). In 1999 Mark raised an “Acquisition Search Fund” called Rubicon Ventures and in 2000 Rubicon acquired a rental services company and began a series of acquisitions in related businesses. Mark has served on the national board of the American Rental Association as well as the board of ARA Insurance Services. Mark has advised multiple individuals and groups pursuing “Entrepreneurship through Acquisition” and has been an adjunct professor of political science (Jurisprudence) and law (Entrepreneurship) at BYU.
