JAC Puts Its Best Foot Forward

with the Relay for Life Dream Team

Like so many others in Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as the rest of the country, the team at JAC all have personal stories of family and friends who have battled with, or are still battling, cancer. Thus, being able to recently participate on the Relay for Life Dream Team to raise money for Daffodil Place and the Canadian Cancer Society was a great privilege for us.

Whether it is through their funding of research in the prevention and reduction of cancer risk, the delivery of prevention programs and advocacy for healthy policies from our governments and health care systems, or their operation of Daffodil Place, the Canadian Cancer Society plays a crucial role in the fight against cancer.

As the society’s signature fundraising event, JAC is proud to have been included, along with other leaders in their respective areas of expertise, in the relay’s Dream Team. We are also happy to have been able to help with the marketing of the event, which turned out to be a great success.

When all was said and done, over $25,000 was raised, John became the owner of a high-end power drill set, and everyone involved walked away knowing they were able to help take another step towards the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with it.
