Doesn’t get sent to the penalty box
It’s no secret that Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are passionate people with none illustrating this more than Super Newf Danny Williams. From his work on the oil to the Lower Churchill, Danny always stood up for what was best for his home. This time, it meant bringing back professional Hockey after a six year absence with the AHL team St. John’s IceCaps.
Having supported Special Olympics Newfoundland and Labrador, NL For Gold and our own rowing team in the St. John’s Regatta for two years, we’re also proud supporters of sports and Newfoundland and Labrador. So, when Danny Williams went looking for people who matched his enthusiasm to create the online home of the St. John’s IceCaps, we stepped up to the challenge. Danny Williams isn’t one to do anything half-heartedly and we knew this was the start of something great.
On opening night, Team JAC showed up in full to join in the celebrations for the first home game, and with website launched on time, we didn’t have to watch it from the penalty box.
